Dini S Purwono is a qualified lawyer under Indonesian law. She is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia / PERADI), registered with the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan / OJK) as a Capital Market Legal Consultant, and also a member of the Association of the Indonesian Capital Market Legal Consultants (Himpunan Konsultan Hukum Pasar Modal / HKHPM).
Dini has been practicing as corporate lawyer since 1997, with an extensive experience in securities, capital markets and M&A. She advises on the Indonesian legal aspect of capital markets and securities transactions, which includes initial public offering, rights issue, bonds issuance, private placement, material transactions, conflict of interest transactions and tender offer. Her broader experience includes advising on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, on establishment and restructuring of foreign investment companies, and on sale of strategic stakes of public and private companies to domestic and foreign investors.
Dini started her lawyering career in 1997 at Hadiputranto, Hadinoto & Partners, an Indonesian correspondent of the international law firm Baker & McKenzie. She practiced law at the firm for 8 years with latest position as Senior Associate. She then left to become Head Legal of one of the premier Indonesian financial institutions, PT Danareksa (Persero), a state-owned company. After her 3-years’ career in Danareksa, she moved back to private practice and became Partner for 2 years at Roosdiono & Partners, an Indonesian law firm having an affiliation with Zaid Ibrahim & Co, one of the leading law firms in Malaysia. Subsequently, Dini joined Christian Teo & Partners, an Indonesian law firm having an association with Stephenson Hardwood, a UK based law firm. After her 8-years’ partnership at the last firm, Dini moved on and establish P&W.
In addition to being a corporate lawyer, Dini also had the opportunity to serve as Special Staff to the Chairman of the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal / BKPM) from 2012 to 2014 and as Special Staff to the Indonesian Minister of Finance from 2013 to 2014. While serving as Special Staff to the Chairman of BKPM, Dini was also a member of the Investment Committee of BKPM.
Dini graduated from University of Indonesia in 1997 and obtained her Master degree (LL.M) in International Finance Law from Harvard Law School, USA in 2002 as Fulbright Scholar.
